Planned programme
The first of our two centre trip to Shropshire and West Wales is at Newnes Touring Caravan Park.
It’s an adult only site and comes complete with all facilities and a fishing pool, and there are plenty of pubs and restaurants in the vicinity. The Newnes website gives details of local attractions and nearby towns.
There is a good selection of National Trust sites including Chirk Castle (12m), Erdigg Hall & Estate (13m) and Powys Castle (24m).
Ellesmere is 2m away and there are several other towns within striking distance such as Oswestry (7m), Llangollen (17m), Shrewsbury (21m) and Chester (31m). Other castles and gardens nearby include Whittington Castle (4m), Cholmondeley Castle & Gardens (19m) and Attingham Park(23m).
