Lunar Owners Club Privacy Policy
The Lunar Owners Club (the LOC) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This policy, together with any other documents referred to, sets out the basis on which any personal data the LOC collects from you, or that you provide to the LOC, will be processed by the LOC. Please read the following carefully to understand views of the LOC and practices regarding your personal data and how the LOC will treat it.
Information the LOC may collect from you
The LOC may collect and process the following data about you as follows:
Information that you provide by filling in forms on our website (www.lunarownersclub.net), which include on-line booking forms and membership renewal forms.
In completing such forms you are deemed to have read and agreed to the LOC’s Privacy Policy.
The printed application forms & rally booking forms as provided in the LOC handbook and those used on the LOC stand at the NEC shows.
The LOC may keep a record of all correspondence whether written or electronic.
The LOC website uses Google Analytics (GA). Google collects data from every visit / visitor to our website but the software does not store any personally identifiable information. A visitors IP address (which is now recognised as personal data by GDPR) is used to determine their physical location but the IP address itself is not stored. All data in GA is aggregated and anonymised.
GA may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system analysis. This is statistical data about visitors' browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual. It is also used to estimate audience size and usage pattern.
Storing your personal data
The LOC will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although the LOC will do its best to protect your personal data, the LOC cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our website; any transmission is at your own risk. Once the LOC has received your information, it will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access, in collaboration with IONOS who provide the website facility.
Uses made of the information
To allow for the proper management and operation of the LOC, information is held about you in the following ways:
To ensure that content from the LOC website is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer.
To provide you with information about the LOC and the Rallies provided, which may be of interest to you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes.
To allow you to participate in the LOC Rallies and Annual General Meeting (AGM), when you choose to do so.
To notify you about any changes that may occur in the LOC annual programme of Rallies and/or Meetings.
Disclosure of your information
The LOC will not use your data or transmit your data to any third party without your express permission unless we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation.
We also allow our printers to process limited information on behalf of the LOC for the distribution of printed material, such as our Rally Handbooks as required to manage and operate the LOC.
If you are an existing Member of the LOC, you may be contacted individually by electronic means (e-mail) with information about changes to the annual programme of Rallies and/or Meetings as well as our regular Newsletters. Members may opt to receive Newsletter by ordinary mail.
The LOC website may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of our advertisers as well as Lunar Caravans Ltd. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites may have their own Privacy Policies and that the LOC do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.
Relevant data is disclosed to and processed by the LOC committee members and rally marshals as required to fulfil the objectives of the LOC.
Access to information
The current Regulation gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Regulation. Any access request may be subject to a fee to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
Changes to our privacy policy
Any changes the LOC makes to the Privacy Policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by e-mail.
